Desert Designs is an iconic Australian label born in the West Australian desert in the 1980’s by indigenous artist Jimmy Pike. It faded off in the 90’s, but was re-launched by the co-founder’s daughter in 2013.
This particular dress would be late 80’s early 90’s I think. It is made from soft cotton jersey t-shirty kind of material.
I would imagine this as the perfect comfy summer dress that will never age! It’s a simple design with a drop waist and button up back. Some of the buttons could do with some fixing up. Not a hard job, however I have considered this in the price. It is a lovely bold apricot in colour.
The best fit is a modern Australian size 8. Team it with an Akubra & Blunderstone boots while walking the kelpie down to the creek for a swim.
